I did look up some linguistics blogs recently, to try to add some bite-sized linguistics into my regular reading while I still don't have the time to devote to weighty tomes other than those that are on the syllabi for the classes I'm currently enrolled in.

Generally, my interests tend towards historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, dialectology, stuff like that - I was never as interested in the more technical aspects like phonology and morphology.Scarletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06425024886500147127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2665957052196766013.post-88236360976354248202009-09-12T04:35:23.373-04:002009-09-12T04:35:23.373-04:00Well, education is also free. I was a double major (Italian and History) and studied abroad for a semester. I used linguistics courses to fulfill my Humanities core requirements, and took several additional Ling. classes beyond that, but couldn't fit a whole minor. I do still sometimes wish I'd figured out a way, because I still find linguistics incredibly interesting.Scarletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06425024886500147127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2665957052196766013.post-35788324927613842362009-09-10T04:58:23.756-04:002009-09-10T04:58:23.756-04:00I am curious (being a linguistics major) why you g...I am curious (being a linguistics major) why you gave up your minor.Elizabeth Mahlouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00334700057953625321noreply@blogger.com
